| dc.description.abstract | In today’s realities, not many Belarusian cities can boast of good construction of new residential areas, often, developers neglect banal facilities, both physical and psychological, in order to maximize profit, which entails a lot of problems that face not only newcomers of modern housing complexes, but residents of Soviet neighbourhoods. An alternative to utopian neighbourhoods can be “Quarterly development”, which has a rich history, for a long time being the only type of urban development. The idea is that the territory is divided into small squares, on the perimeter of which are built. With good alternatives to neighbourhoods and a growing urban gap in Belarus, the sooner the architects abandon the development of neighbourhoods, the fewer problems of different aspects will arise in cities with large populations. | ru |
