Abstract
The article is devoted to civil engineering in the north and south of China. The features of the architectural composition of residential buildings of the Dai people in Yunnan Province (southern China), the Bai people in Yunnan Province and Beijing, the Nakhi people in southern China, as well as residents of Shanxi province in northern China and in the Northeastern Province of Northern China are considered.
