Abstract

Students' activity to produce research publications and research conference presentations is a good stimulus for the young authors to go on with their further - efficient - research. This activity an aid of practical training in academic writing and, also, in research work in general. Therefore, it ought to be treated as the principal part of the system of students' R&D in general. The results of the study of the subsystem of students' publications and research conference presentations demonstrated various demerits of the subsystem. The joint activity directed to the perfection of the mentioned subsystem (the one of the Education Ministry, universities, professors, publishers and other persons and institutions involved) is going to be very helpful for the reproduction of the scientific potential (in terms of research stuff) of the Republic of Belarus.
