The texture was investigated for hot-extrude Mg-Li alloy bar with three different contents of Y by X-ray in this paper. The result shows that the rare earth Y can change the basal texture of Mg-Li alloy. Meanwhile the non-basal texture appears in the alloy when the addion of Y reached 2% uncommonly.
